I had wanted to catch up with Jimmie  for a long time, and we were finally able to get together at Darryl Starbird's for the 14th Annual Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies.  He was there to see his long-time friend and customizing buddy, Gary Howard, be Inducted. Gary and I had done an Interview last year at the KKOA Lead Sled, and talked at length about the fabulous '61 Caddy that Gary had built for Jimmie.

SO, it was only natural when Jimmie and I spent some time together that I ask him his take on both Gary, AND, how he got that Caddy to begin with.  What I found out from Jimmie was his enormous respect for Gary and his workmanhip, PLUS, how Jimmie's Mom played a pivotal role in obtaining the Caddy from the start !

This was Jimmie's first time to see Darryl's Rod & Custom Car Museum, so you'll also hear his feelings on this unique showcase for Rods & Customs located in Afton, Oklahoma.

JIMMIE VAUGHAN is one superb musician, one heck of a "Car Guy", and one of the nicest people you'll run into.  Many thanks, Jimmie !    JK
