The Legendary Gene Winfield, one of the Industries premiere customizers & painters, created the blended/fadeaway style of automotive painting in the late 1950's.
It's a style that has been copied by many since Gene first applied it and, though at one time it may have been considered a "fad", its beauty and impact of eye-poping colors have stood the test of time...and are just as "current" today as they were 50 years ago !

(Top of Page: Gene's personal '61 Cadillac "Maybelline"; Above: "The Jade Idol"; LeRoy Goulart's '50 Ford; John D'Agostino's '67 Lincoln Continental "Golden Sunset"...all painted by Gene )

Gene's New Book: "The Legendary Custom Cars & Hot Rods Of Gene Winfield" by David Grant, with a Forward by Spence Murray. It's a GREAT book and is available wherever books are sold: Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-A-Million, et al.
