Paul LeMat IS A PERENNIAL "Fan Favorite" due to his iconic role of "JOHN MILNER" in the Classic coming-of-age/Crusin'-in-California film "AMERICAN GRAFFITI".
At every R&C event where he makes an appearance, Paul is kept busy from just about dawn-to-dusk...shaking hands, signing autographs, having his picture taken with fans, and, autographing & selling many of the pictures he brings along with scenes from the movie showcasing himself, the cast, and that infamous "Milner Coupe".

BUT, AS WITH ANY ACTOR, Paul works on different projects & films. And, two of his most recent projects are what I wanted to discuss with him as we spent lots of time together at the 30th Anniversary KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular in Salina, Kansas in July, 2010.
"CYBORG CONQUEST" (Original working title "Chrome Angels"), was shot in - of all places - Louisiana. Paul's character is the mad scientist creator of the Cyborgs' in this Sci-Fi / Biker Babe adventure. I've seen a "sneak preview" of it, it's a lot of fun, and it would be a GREAT Drive-In flick...if there were more Drive-In's ! As it is, it'll be available on DVD...watch at home, with friends, enjoy it !
IN ADDITION TO "Cyborg Conquest", Paul is also a writer and has a book that's been published on-line: "HASTEN DOWN THE WIND". This a great book that's available at AMAZON and can be downloaded to your computer, OR, read on KINDLE. It's part fiction, part autobiographical, and a solid-read all the way through. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, Paul is a great one to spend time with, share thoughts with, and attend events with. He's a laid back, mild mannered guy that's paid his dues, gotten many awards, was actually a boxer at one time, is a decorated Vietnam Vet, and has not let his iconic status interfere wtih reality.
If you have a chance to meet him at one of the many R&C events he travels to around the world...make sure you stop by his booth and visit with him for a few minutes. You won't be disappointed ! JK
THE TITLE OF PAUL'S BOOK, "HASTEN DOWN THE WIND", is based on an album & song by Linda Ronstadt, which was Linda's third LP to go Platinum. It was released in August, 1976, and the song itself was written by the late Warren Zevon.
